• Manages the team responsible for the planning and day-to-day operations of the computing environment, including the Audio/Visual equipment used.
• Creates, implements and maintains HIPAA compliant and secure computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for research and clinical data processing, computer services, network communications, EMR support, and management information services to accomplish the growth, goals and objectives.
• Manages the budget for the IT Department.
• Act as a consistent point of contact with partners, serving as the first stop for any needs, requests or challenges while also fostering direct relationships with partners and members of the community, as appropriate
• Understand the breadth of programs and services being delivered to school customers, ensuring partners are coordinated and effectively delivering. Proactively foster information sharing across School and partner services that affect the community
• Engage across the School as needed, work with partners to conduct IT planning and explore strategic priorities, helping to determine an effective path forward
• Develop maps of partner engagement, noting services, program engagement, and key account staff
• Effectively manage the relationships with internal vendors and external third parties on behalf of the department and its community, acting as an advocate as necessary
• Serves as the security and privacy officer for the department in collaboration with the Senior Director of Compliance, Risk Management and Strategic Projects.
• As needed, staff and support key meetings and committees
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of IT business related experience with at least 2 years of direct partner engagement or management experience with increasing responsibility and engagement at a strategic level
Additional Qualifications
• Strong personnel management expertise.
• Experience with AxiUm software and clinical operations
• Experience working within higher education or other decentralized organizational environments
• Partner or customer relationship management experience working within internal service provider organizations supporting teaching and research
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong, lasting relationships across all levels of an organization and effectively communicate and work with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to synthesize information and tailor communication styles
• Demonstrated ability to transmit complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences as well as translate general business requirements and needs into high-level technical requirements
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
• Ability to leverage experience and knowledge to bring creative and innovative solutions and approaches into the partner management and customer engagement process
