Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Advertising Sales Representative to join our team. We are a local newspaper that has been in business for over 31 years. As an Advertising Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling advertising space and services to businesses and clients. Your goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our advertising products and services
- Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Conduct sales presentations to showcase the benefits of our advertising solutions
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation of advertising campaigns
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
Experience:
- Proven experience in customer service or sales roles
- Previous experience in outside sales or account management is preferred
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Knowledge of marketing principles and advertising techniques
- Familiarity with technical sales processes is a plus
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with clients
