Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for executing the strategy that allows the location to meet or exceed revenue, profitability, employee satisfaction and customer experience objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Leadership and People Management

• Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive and engaging experience for all team members

• Support the General Manager in building a strong and diverse team. Support the location’s recruiting, hiring, onboarding training, and overall performance management activities

• Support ongoing learning and development of team members by providing direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance, and addressing performance concerns

• Conduct performance management conversations including ongoing development plans, write ups or terminations, as directed by General Manager

• Embody the milk honey core values of kindness, growth mindset, diversity, and integrity

Client Experience

• Lead from the floor to assess the needs of the business, team, and clients

• Resolve client escalations with a sense of urgency, aim to resolve before a client leaves the location

• Utilize superior customer service skills to mediate all situations with a calm, helpful demeanor

• Take initiative on client survey, be the contact for scores that need to be investigated, and troubleshoot any issues that may affect client experiences

• Uphold a high level of excellence through impeccable Brand Standards, assist General Manager with maintenance and improvement coordination

Daily Operations

• Assist with retail ordering, create purchase orders, receive products, perform monthly counts and merchandise retail 

• Have a comprehensive understanding of our operating system and the ability to troubleshoot issues

• Monitor all reports, check for accuracy, resolve issues that affect closing numbers

• Take initiative to help create new processes

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Availability on an on-call basis for protocol and system questions from staff
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift
• Must be able to hear so as to effectively understand customers needs
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
