Milhouse Engineering & Construction is Hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer Near Lombard, IL

Our Aviation team is truly expanding and we'd like to bring on a new Senior Electrical Engineer who will be essential in continuing our growth (across the country!).

Typical design work includes airfield lighting, navigational aids, airfield signage and lighting control vaults, interior and exterior lighting, fire alarm systems, low voltage power distribution, motor control circuits, raceway systems, and communications systems.

What you will do:

  • Design and perform calculations for lighting systems
  • Prepare load analysis for different stages of design 
  • Prepare drawings detailing system designed that meet client, airport and/or FAA requirements
  • Power distribution systems and communication networks design
  • Prepare and document Energy compliance calculations and forms
  • Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines
  • Keep management advised and of all quality, schedule and budget variances in a timely manner.
  • Preparing project construction documents and reports
Your Background:
  • 10– 15 years of experience
  • PE license required (ability to be licensed in IL)
  • Chicago Department of Aviation experience is advantageous 
  • Past or present experience within aviation is required
  • Experience having managed medium to large size projects
  • Attitude of taking independent initiate, exhibit creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork 
  • Power distribution systems and communication networks experience required
  • Lighting software experience required
