CIVIL ENGINEER SUMMARY

Provides engineering and project support and for small and medium sized projects, $50K - $20MM. Project engineer will assist with the design of facility, document and drawing control, new project development, permitting, procurement, and construction operations of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

• The ability to take ownership of a project from start to finish
• Project engineering project support
• Ability to create, model, draw, read, interpret, construction drawings, perform quantity take-offs.
• PC Skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Creates and executes project work plans as appropriate the needs of projects.
• Assist with procurement, purchase orders, invoices, & cost controls for projects
• Develop, track, and maintain a Project schedule
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Ability to work in a multi-task high volume working environment, independently with adaptability to change.
• Projects are small-medium sized, ranging from $50K - $15MM
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to travel to field facilities on a regular basis and new site development locations. Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Must successfully complete a drug/alcohol screening and pre-employment background check.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE JOB:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management/Science or equivalent from an accredited university
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in construction industry. Oil and gas industry experience preferred working in a responsible role with project-oriented construction.
• Must be familiar with the engineering design process and deliverables, as well as construction execution and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in drafting with AutoCAD, (Civil 3D) modeling systems. Must be proficient in 3d modeling, drainage, civil site planning, and layouts.
• Project work includes developing and modifying drawings for sites including: site layouts, grading, cut/fill, drainage, roads, landfills, pipelines, concrete, etc.
• Must be U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
