SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities are to supervise the daily operations, cleaning, treatment, disposal and maintenance of a waste disposal plant facility. Assures compliance with established environmental, regulatory, safety, operating standards, policies and emergency response procedures. Spends considerable amount of time coaching employees on operational and safety procedures. Works directly with employees to increase their skill level and competency.

TRAINING REQUIRED: Employee Orientation; Safety, Equipment, Regulatory training; financial and budget training; performance management. Must stay abreast of advancements in technology and systems. Advanced functions may be assigned as part of development.

Spends significant amount of time in operations environment and sometime in the office environment. May need to drive company vehicles in the course of job duties. Occasional travel for training and meetings. Exposed to possible operations hazards including dust, fumes, chemicals, machinery, hot or cold work temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, climb, crouch, and kneel; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
