Mile High Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a Registered Nurse - Ketamine Assisted Therapy and Health Promotion Near Denver, CO

We are seeking a charismatic and experienced Registered Nurse to join our growing team. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to our clients undergoing ketamine-assisted therapies. You will leverage your clinical expertise and compassionate demeanor to ensure a safe and positive treatment experience for each client.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical history reviews for adherence to ketamine treatment protocols.
  • Master the art of IV starts, ensuring smooth and comfortable insertions.
  • Meticulously monitor IV administration and document all vital signs and client responses.
  • Prepare and compound IV fluids according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client medical records.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop, present, and review ongoing treatment plans.
  • Conduct client and appointment follow-up calls.
  • Perform daily opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and sanitation.
  • Provide health education to high-risk populations.
  • Administer rapid HIV and HCV tests in non-clinical setting
  • Provide lite wound care to those experiencing homelessness
  • Educate clients on harm reduction practices related to substance use and sexual health
  • Refer clients to community partners or MHBHC telehealth program for more complex health issues
  • Consult with clients on PrEP and PEP services as well as treatment for HIV/HCV
  • Complete health screens with clients identifying recommendations for gaps in healthcare and support identified goals
  • Work with Program Manager for creating health promotion campaigns to address public health issues
  • Maintain client records in the EHR

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN within the State of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a focus on IV starts and administration.
  • Engaging and charismatic personality with a positive and comforting bedside manner.
  • Strong interest in alternative and preventative health and wellness treatments.
  • Eagerness to learn about new, alternative therapies and their positive impact on clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and prioritize efficiently.
  • Strong commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
