General Information:

Job title: Patient Service Aide

Location: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Schedule: Part-time 2, 37 hours per pay period; approximately four, 6:00am - 1:30pm shifts and one, PM shift, 1:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Weekend rotation: every other weekend

Holiday rotation: rotating holidays

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist the residents in non-nursing assistant functions in the nursing home.

Position Responsibilities:

• Report changes in resident condition to nursing supervisor.
• Perform duties, such as making beds, passing water, passing & picking up meal trays, emptying dirty laundry, garbage bins, passing incont. prod, unpack & stack incont. prod, stocking nutrition center, etc.
• Assist residents with completion of menus for their meals.
• Transport residents to locations inside the nursing home, such as to physicians' offices. Assist activities to get residents ready for outings.
• Utilizes resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
• Adheres to infection control policies and procedures as well as storage procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Provides for comfort needs of the residents.
• Answers resident call lights and assists with the requests within the scope of a Patient Service Aide.
