Mike Bass Ford is Hiring a Body Shop Technician Near Sheffield, OH

Job Summary:
Mike Bass Ford is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team in Sheffield Village, Ohio. This is a full-time flat rate position in the auto industry, and the individual will be responsible for performing collision repairs on our customers' vehicles.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this role is $20 to $30 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental coverage, paid time off, and a 401k plan.
Responsibilities:
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, welding, and panel replacement, according to manufacturer specifications
- Repair or replace damaged body parts, such as doors, fenders, bumpers, and hoods
- Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, priming, and masking
- Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components related to body repairs, such as lights, mirrors, and windows
- Communicate with employees to explain repairs and provide estimates
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a body shop technician
- Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals and specifications
- Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, including welding
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Team player with good communication and customer service skills
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
