Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry.

Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100 trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution, and cross-docking services.

We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value-Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs.

General Position Overview : The MRT Customer Account Specialist is responsible primarily for maintaining and growing a company generated book of business.

The CAS is the front-line relationship to our customers daily and will need to interface closely with the Routing and Operations Teams.

The CAS position will be responsible for soliciting, creating, and tracking orders and communicating with our customers on a daily basis.

General Accountabilities include :

  • Daily proactive communication with existing customers
  • Analyzing areas of opportunity for growth with customers
  • Order entry and system operating proficiency
  • Order and information accuracy and timeliness
  • Teamwork with Routing, Operations, Sales, and Accounting as well as others including both the Logistics and Brokerage Teams.

Skills Required :

  • Ability to communicate to both internal associates, customers and leadership through written and verbal skills
  • Good technical / systems skills
  • Ability to hear the customer, empathize, apologize, and take action (HEAT)
  • High degree of Self Confidence
  • Associate’s Degree and / or 2-Years Related Work Experience in Related Field

Prerequisites :

  • Ability to type, and utilize common systems (Email, Microsoft tools, McLeod TMS)
  • Ability to learn on the fly and solve problems
  • High energy / positive thinking

Performance Measurements :

KPI’s for tracking and evaluating performance based on the following metrics.

  • Order Accuracy
  • Accessorial Accuracy
