Midwest Industrial Supply Branding is Hiring a Driver CDL A - Dust Control Application Specialist Near Mesa, AZ

Manager: Regional Field Service Manager, Mining

Manager Once Removed (MOR): Director of Field Service

Purpose: Delivery and application of our products and services to clients. This position is the face of the company, often having direct contact with customers on a daily basis.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand technical requirements to properly apply product application of Midwest product at lines at customer site in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for safely operating a motor vehicle and transporting products on public highways between various locations, including state to state.
  • Operate various application equipment and transport, deliver, and apply chemical solutions.
  • Knowledge of all Midwest product lines and proper use
  • Ability to always work and communicate professionally with many people, even under stress, and to elevate issues to their proper level.
  • Ability to build positive relationship with key customer site contacts and understand who the appropriate person to contact based on different required interactions
  • Ability to serve multiple customers throughout the spray season with knowledge of each site and what is required.
  • Obey state and federal laws while operating Midwest commercial vehicles.
  • Drive, operate and maintain assigned spray equipment, and any equipment they are asked to operate.
  • Follow maintenance discrepancy protocols to properly communicate equipment issues to the maintenance team.
  • Based on role and location, may be required to maintain a satellite operation. Including measuring and reporting inventory, maintaining cleanliness of company property and assigned truck, and elevating any issues with Field Service Manager. 
  • Required to properly and timely complete all paperwork, forms, (electronic or otherwise) and other administrative tasks; communicate through email and video conferencing utilizing company provided tablet.
  • Understand Know and regularly practice firmly adhere to the Midwest’s “10 Rules to Live By” and Company Core Values. 
  • Model safe behavior and ensure that appropriate emphasis is placed on both training and everyday workplace behavior.
  • Ability to train others on Midwest Spray equipment you are familiar with.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Authorities:

  • Use assigned authority to stop work where unsafe conditions or behaviors are present and report any unsafe conditions and/or behaviors to the appropriate safety personnel.
  • Seek clarification from manager when on-site conditions do not match to plan

  • Escalate when authorized system is perceived to be unclear, conflicted, or ignored.

  • Decide EoRs promotion.

Glossary

  • Decide versus review and recommend: clarifying when a task is limited to research and analysis of options with possibly a recommendation but the decision authority remains with the assigner of the task.
  • Ensure: implies that the work is not necessarily done by the person in the role directly, but by those reporting to him/her, whose output is the accountability of the role holder.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

  • Class A CDL in good standing with Tanker endorsement preferred
  •  Minimum requirement: Class B CDL in good standing

 At least 2 years driving experience to perform job safely
Time management and organization skills to stay on schedule

  • Ability to work with peers in a team effort
  • A well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
  • Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Extensive travel (by truck, airplane, automobile) in the conduct of business is necessary.
  • Regular use of the telephone, tablet and/or mobile devices for communication.

Work Environment:

Includes an industrial setting with exposure to excessive noise, heavy machinery, environmental issues and/or inclement weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to lift, pull, push containers up to 50 pounds and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination.
