Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Proven working experience of min 2 years in purchasing related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia .
• Sound knowledge of the commodity trading market, strategies, policies and regulations. Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures.
• Familiarity with sourcing and supplier management. Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
• Good planning and organisational skills and a knack for negotiation and networking.
• Solid judgement along with decision

Responsibility

• Develops, and executes purchasing strategies for construction sector.
• Manages supplier relations, crafts negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
• Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Forecasts price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Coordinates with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
• Responsible to ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Performs cost estimates, cost and scenario analysis and manages budgets.
• Develops and implements improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
• Maintains the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Update the management with market trend and price of the raw materials on regular basis.
• Other responsibilities as the management deems necessary.
