We are seeking a Managing Director of Business Development to join our leadership team.

As the Managing Director of Business Development at Midwest Drywall, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding our client base. Your primary objective will be to identify and secure new business opportunities through leading our preconstruction and business development capabilities company wide. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and achieving company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expand market share.
  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Define target market segments and create effective strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align business development goals with overall company goals.
  • New Business Acquisition:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively prospecting and networking with potential clients, including property developers, contractors, architects, engineers, and real estate firms.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects through lead generation, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging professional networks.
  • Conduct in-depth client needs analysis and present tailored solutions to address their requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and support contract negotiations.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence and Industry Trends:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities in the commercial construction and real estate sectors.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Analyze market data and generate regular reports to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to align business development efforts with organizational capabilities.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to the overall growth and direction of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial construction market, including an understanding of construction methods, project lifecycles, and industry regulations.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term client partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business development tools.
