Midlands Neurology and Pain Associates, P.A. is Hiring a Radiology Technician Near Columbia, SC

Radiology Technician. This position offers both full-time and part-time options and presents an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Position Overview:As a Radiology Technician you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your responsibilities will include performing X-rays, assisting with C-arm procedures, scheduling patient appointments, and ensuring that services are approved, and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
  • Current certification as an Radiology Technician
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program
  • State licensure, if applicable
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
  • Familiarity with C-arm procedures (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging:
  • Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the imaging suite.
C-arm Assistance:
  • Assist with C-arm procedures, including setup, positioning, and equipment operation (if trained).
  • Collaborate with the team to provide real-time imaging support during procedures.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of the C-arm equipment.
Patient Scheduling and Coordination:
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for imaging services.
  • Coordinate patient flow and optimize the efficient use of imaging equipment.
Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all diagnostic images.
  • Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or issues.
  • Follow established safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
Report Generation:
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient exams and results.
Continuing Education:
  • Stay current with advances in X-ray technology and procedures through ongoing professional development.
