- Current certification as an Radiology Technician
- Completion of an accredited Radiology program
- State licensure, if applicable
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Familiarity with C-arm procedures (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging:
- Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians and in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the imaging suite.
- Assist with C-arm procedures, including setup, positioning, and equipment operation (if trained).
- Collaborate with the team to provide real-time imaging support during procedures.
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of the C-arm equipment.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment records.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for imaging services.
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize the efficient use of imaging equipment.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all diagnostic images.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or issues.
- Follow established safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
- Prepare and distribute accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians.
- Maintain detailed records of patient exams and results.
- Stay current with advances in X-ray technology and procedures through ongoing professional development.
