Primarily responsible for the delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed technologist within the scope of practice. Responsible for gathering all pertinent patient information andaccurately prepares the patient for their exam; data collection and input. Must promote and demonstrate strong customer service skills with physicians and their staff, as well as persons coming into contact with the Radiology Department. All job duties are to be completed in a manner that is consistent with the highest quality of guest relations, which results in a positive experience for the patient and or his/her family members.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS • Coordinates safe and effective care considering the age and specific needs of the patient. • Prioritizes demands with resources to meet individualized patient needs, and makes appropriate decisions exercising independent judgment. • Utilizes critical thinking skills to achieve the highest quality standards by following established procedures in compliance with best practice. Incorporates continuous performance improvement recommendations into daily work. • Provides secretarial support for unit (answering phone calls, ordering and maintaining stock of supplies, etc.) • Preparation of patients for examination and testing.• Performs blood pressures, IV starts, and EKG’s to assist with patient care. • Triage and assessment of patients • Communicates professionally and effectively (hear, listen, speak) with patients, family, visitors, physicians, physician office staff, hospital employees, and other health team members. • Recognizes and responds effectively to verbal, nonverbal, and written communications and utilizes and applies medical terminology appropriately. • Demonstrates appropriate communication and interpersonal skills to enhance teamwork and collaborates with healthcare team to enhance daily workflow.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant and maintain current certification as a Medical Assistant • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

· Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
