Our Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Pharmacy Tech. The candidate will be responsible for helping the pharmacist with dispensing medications. The ideal candidate will be hard working and have good communication skills.

Prior experience is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Record information about prescription drugs into the system and process insurance claims
• Fill medications according to prescription order and hand over to pharmacist for verification
• Answer Phone Calls
• Prepare medication bags for delivery
• Manage store inventory
• Help with miscellaneous tasks
• Keep the workspace clean and organized
• Other tasks as directed by management

Some Important Points about this job:

1. Customer service is a crucial part of our business. Your primary position will be at the checkout register when you don't have pending filling or other work assisting the Pharmacist. whenever a customer walks in, he should be greeted at first priority, and his concern should be resolved at priority. Ask if they need assistance finding anything in OTC aisles.

2. All the phone calls are to be answered asap. We want you to be the first person to take all the phone calls and transfer to Pharmacist if his query is related to Pharmacist. Before transferring, you should pull up the patient profile and answer as many questions as you can find there and if another customer walks in while you are on the phone, acknowledge them by telling them “ I’ll be right with you” and right after completing the phone call, service them.

3. Avoid using cellphone unless it is an emergency.

4. You are expected to on time. If there is an emergency and you are unable to make it in time, you must inform the pharmacist or if they are not accessible, inform other members of the team.
