Used car sales managers are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of their dealership’s used car department. They oversee all aspects of this department’s business, including inventory management, customer service, and sales strategy. Must have working knowledge of Vauto.

Used Car Sales Manager Job Duties

A used car sales manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Establishing relationships with potential customers and showing them the benefits of purchasing a vehicle from their dealership
• Negotiating prices with suppliers and securing new inventory
• Developing sales campaigns with specific goals to increase brand awareness and stimulate sales
• Ensuring that the dealership complies with state and federal laws regarding vehicle sales
• Managing all aspects of a dealership’s used car inventory including pricing, advertising, and negotiating deals with suppliers
• Identifying potential problems with vehicles before they reach the lot to ensure customer satisfaction
• Providing customers with information about financing options, warranties, trade-ins, or other related topics
• Managing a team of sales associates to ensure they are meeting sales goals
• Recommending changes in pricing structure, inventory mix, or other factors to increase profitability
