JOB PURPOSE:

The Regional Engineering Manager maintains optimal performance of Midco’s regional network by directing and coordinating all regional engineering activity in addition to providing supervision and leadership to achieve operational and defined goals. The Regional Engineering Manager serves as Midco’s professional representative when interacting with the general public.

• Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to ensure exceptional service.

• Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
• Communicate clear expectations that set a high bar while holding team members accountable to reach these goals.
• Demonstrate business acumen by using data to drive decisions and actions.
• Model flexibility, resiliency and change management skills by staying self-aware, constantly learning, and
• finding ways to cut through ambiguous problems.
• Identify root causes of problems and implement solutions while keeping a holistic and long-term perspective in mind.
• Actively follow Midco policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• NCTI certifications through Fiber Optics required.
• NCTI Advanced Technician certification is required for this position. Employees without current certification must enroll within 12 months of attaining this position. 
• Minimum two years Maintenance or Engineering experience required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 84 lbs.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
• May be required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The Employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
• Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
• Must be able to work from elevated heights and in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
