Sales Administrative Assistant

Homestead Smart Health Plans

Center City, Philadelphia, PA

(Hybrid role)

We have an exciting, new, full-time opportunity available for a Sales Administrative Assistant. This is a permanent role that offers a Hybrid work schedule which involves working on-site in our Center City Office a few days per week and working remotely the remainder of the week. Job Overview:

Homestead Smart Health Plans, a full-service Health Benefits Administrator located in downtown Philadelphia, PA, is currently looking for an experienced Sales Admin to join our team. In this role, you will be reporting directly to our Sales Operations Manager and will be responsible for providing support to the Homestead Sales Team. You will work closely with the Underwriting, and Account Management team to gather necessary information while providing a high level of service. Will assist with preparing proposals to be delivered to clients and prospective clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative/clerical support to Sales Team.
  • Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information per email.
  • Maintain calendars as needed.
  • Coordinate sales events.
  • Coordinate travel for staff.
  • Update and maintain CRM client data
  • Assist in generating reports on sales metrics.
  • Assist with preparing materials for presentations, open enrollment meetings, etc.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research on competitors.
  • Keep up with product and service information and updates.
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers
  • Coordinate responses to Requests for Information/Proposals.
  • Assist Sales team in putting proposals together
  • Collaborate with the account management team and Stop Loss team to ensure high quality of service
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM a plus
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to take initiative, identify, and address tasks without prompting, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments from multiple staff members
  • Strong work ethic required.
