HR Assistant
Mid-Continent Pkg is looking for a Human Resources assistant with payroll experience. It is a 40-hour work week in one location. We have paid vacations, paid holidays, and group health insurance plus other benefits.
Duties:
· Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database.
· Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves
· Assist HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration
· Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and schedule job interviews
· Help coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
· Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
· Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality.
· Report worker’s compensation injuries and track status of them
· Answer unemployment claims

HR Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to other HR professionals by documenting staff changes and communications. Their duties include onboarding, terminations, processing payroll updates, and managing communications for the HR department.
Experience or the equivalent of is recommended. Physical characteristics of the job include sitting for periods of time, walking, and being able to work in a chemical factory environment. This is a safety sensitive job with a drug free environment.
