Essential Functions:
- Support the controller with the day-to-day operations of a busy accounting department.
- Assists in managing the financial aspects of the company and completing month-end close.
- Maintaining Commission and Incentive payables
- Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements
- Fixed assets and depreciation management
- Sales Tax and other related Filings
- Balance Sheet Schedules
- Record daily journal entries and maintain cash flow information
- Bank Account Reconciliations
- Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables
- Ability to work effectively independently, accurately, and contribute to a team-oriented environment in a fast-paced and changing business climate
- Possess a high standard of business and financial ethics
- Highly organized, flexible, and detail-oriented individual who can perform and execute under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of advanced Excel practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 4-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deliverables.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines in a high-pressure environment
