Position Overview

Under general supervision responsible for assisting with the performance of routine office support duties in accounts payable and general accounting in support of the DUF6 project sites. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities of support in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Functional:

• Assists with checking, verifying, and posting journal vouchers
• Maintains financial data files
• Supports with preparation of journal entries and data system documents for payment
• Aids in preparation of cost accruals
• Ensures the accuracy of invoices and expense reports
• Assists with assigning general ledger account numbers and determining taxability/exemption from sales and use tax with regard to purchase requisitions
• Supports with audits expense report reimbursements
• Utilizes current Kentucky and Ohio regulatory and administrative requirements to ensure sales and use tax compliance
• Aids with preparation of backup and audit trails for auditors for accounts payable and sales and use tax transactions
• May track legal costs
• Assists with performing data entry of subcontractor payments
• Prepares IRS 1099 forms

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
