POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator of Accommodations and Testing is responsible for providing services and promoting accommodations and testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide accommodations for students with disabilities, including academic accommodations, housing accommodations, and various other reasonable accommodations based on the needs of each student
Advise the institution regarding compliance with ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other disability-related legislation by serving on the Compliance Committee, providing accommodations as appropriate based on a student’s disability, and conducting regular reviews of campus and online accessibility
Review current literature related to accessibility, disabilities, and higher education
Provide access to education for students with disabilities, including, but not limited to, the following:
Proctoring Exams
Scanning documents and books
Revising documents for accessible design features
Hosting reading groups with students.
Captioning videos
Securing or taking notes for students
Plan, host, and market two disability awareness events each semester
Plan and Host Disability Awareness Week
Complete reporting related to accessibility
Conduct the annual Accessibility Campus Review
Proctor and score ACT Residual exams
Proctor make-up testing
Other duties, as assigned by the supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time doing work on a computer and via the telephone. Must be able to pull, push, lift, engage in repetitive motions, communicate, express oneself or exchange information with others; see, including color, depth perception, and clarity; and hear, including receiving detailed information orally. Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
