Microsoft Legal Department is Hiring a Remote Principal Program Manager

Job Duties

Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:Develop a scalable and effective technical strategy to support the rhythm of the business and organizational goals. Articulate project goals and scope, translate business needs into technical terms, establish key performance indicators, and manage the lifecycle of dynamic projects. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of professional colleagues, including program managers and administrative support staff. Formulate policies, manage daily operations, and determine the use of resources necessary to support operations, budget, and performance targets. Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Master's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field.• Experience: 36 months of software-related, centralized and coordinated program, product, or project management experience and/or experience in designing, developing and releasing software products or services.• Education or Experience in: Coordinating program development of computer software applications/systems/services from design through product release; Managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools or policies; Product strategy development and analytical analysis; Analyzing business requirements, and analyzing technology capabilities to outline project and product vision, across multiple projects simultaneously; Leading teams including business analysts, product teams, IT teams and/or graphic design teams; Interfacing with cross-functional teams (product management, operations, and engineering) to perform requirements gathering, segmentation, and ROI analysis; and Creating product plans for product development using Excel, PPT, word doc, and Visio to map timelines and workflow.Multiple job openings. Pay Range and Benefits Information

The offered base pay range for this specific position (V4741446.b), in Redmond, WA, is $239,500 to $269,500 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 scheduled paid holidays, and up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
