MicroBiologics is Hiring a Technical Support Specialist- International LATAM Near St. Cloud, MN

We are currently looking to add a Technical Support Specialist to our International team ideal candidate will be located in Latin America. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high level technical support and training to both commercial partners and our end-users in the countries where Microbiologics sells its products (excluding the United States).

What can I expect in this role?

In this position, you will work approximately  20 hours per week Monday-Friday. 

 Some key duties in this role include:

  • Provide world class customer experience to both internal and external customers.
  • Develop and conduct technical training, hands-on workshops and seminars for distributors and customers on both the use of Microbiologics products and the regulatory and scientific aspects.
  • The ultimate goal is to support product sales internationally.
  • Travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Real-time technical support for incoming customers’ inquiries, except for product technical complaints requiring an internal investigation / in-house lab testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory requirements for quality control such as USP, Ph.Eur., CLSI, AOAC, ISO standards and train internal and external customers on specific international regulations.
  • Get acquainted with the relevant KOL, auditors and assessors in different regions and become a key technical representative of the company at relevant meetings.
  • Provide support for major trade events, where required.
  • Keep regular contacts with the international distributors in coordination with the Area Business Manager and assist with pre & post Sales Technical activities.
  • Provide information about territory trends and requirements, and record suggestions for improvement of existing products or new products.
  • Utilize Sales Force on a daily basis to maintain the record of interaction with customers and distributors, documenting activities and relevant communication.
  • Together with the Marketing and Sales teams, maintain up to date presentations and promotional tools optimized for the international market.
  • Participate as a speaker in Webinars, Exhibition and Conferences.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor’s in relevant field such as Microbiology, Biology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
  • At least three years of experience in supporting field applications, creating user training, organizing and speaking in seminars, customer hands-on workshops, etc.
  • Strong autonomy in the work organization coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in global, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong aptitude for critical and independent thinking and problem solving. Attention to details.
  • Good computer literacy MS Office, Internet, CRM (i.e. SalesForce)
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date on industry trends and new regulations.
  • Must be fluent in English, and Spanish. 
  • Previous experience in an international customer service/support or application specialist role.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
