Description
Castleman Eye Center is hiring a part time Ophthalmic Tester to work in their office located in Southgate, MI.
This position is part time 3 days per week and 18-20 hours per week. Typical schedule will be Monday 11am-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 3:30pm. Must be flexible with days on occasion depending on the doctor’s vacation schedule.
The role of the Ophthalmic Tester is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.
This position requires excellent computer skills and to communicate efficiently with patients, physicians and other staff members.
Demonstrate commitment to ongoing training and uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality.
Training is offered for the right individual looking to learn a new specialty.
Requirements
1-2 years in a Healthcare setting working directly with patients.
Medical Assistant Diploma and experience will be considered.
Preferred experience in all areas of ophthalmic patient care, including but not limited to patient work-ups, refraction, performing ancillary testing such as OCT, Visual Field and IOL measurement.
