Michigan Ophthalmology Specialists is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Southgate, MI

Description

Castleman Eye Center is currently hiring a full time Ophthalmic Technician to work in their office located in Southgate. 

Estimated schedule for this position is: Monday 10:00am - 6:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday approx. 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm. May vary due to business needs.

The role of the Ophthalmic Technician is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have excellent technical accuracy and be quick & efficient.

1-2 years must have previous experience working in an Ophthalmology office.

Must be able to refract, applanate and do workups.

Knowledge of diagnostic testing is desired such as: OCT, Visual Fields, Optos, a scan, iolmaster, topography and pachymetry.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.

Training will be provided.
