Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Take ownership and lead assigned Public School projects in Rhode Island, demonstrating strong project management skills from initiation to completion.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their requirements, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of the project team, providing guidance and direction to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.
  • Make informed and strategic decisions to address challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure the successful execution of construction projects within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, maintaining a commitment to high-quality workmanship and client satisfaction.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and working collaboratively with financial teams to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Generate and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and budget updates, providing transparent and comprehensive information to stakeholders and leadership.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Project Manager will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management at a reputable General Contractor.
  • Strong background in commercial construction, particularly in institutional, state, federal, schools, and healthcare projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and take ownership of projects, demonstrating effective leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Must be able to work on project sites throughout Rhode Island, showing adaptability to various locations.
  • Committed to a long-term career, demonstrating enthusiasm and eagerness to contribute to the company's growth and success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Willingness to adapt to a combination of on-site and in-office work, starting with 100% on-site presence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client interaction, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships.
