My client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction to join their team at the mid-senior level in Phoenix, AZ.

As a Construction Project Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in my client's continued success by accurately estimating project costs, contributing to bid proposals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget.

Description

Key Responsibilities for Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction :

  • Conduct comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project details.
  • Analyze and interpret project blueprints and specifications to determine accurate estimates.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals.
  • Continuously update and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, materials costs, and construction methods to provide accurate estimates.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as necessary.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to maximize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and assess subcontractor and vendor proposals.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a seamless transition from the estimating phase to project execution.

Profile

Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) in Tucson, AZ
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Estimator in a commercial construction environment.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools for building and construction
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (a plus).
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
