Seeking a certified medical assistant with a minimum of one to two years of endoscopy experience as well as training and experience taking patient vitals and EKGs and drawing blood .
Responsibilities include assisting with endoscopic procedures (including biopsies, polypectomies, and tatoos), cleaning and reprocessing endoscopic equipment, assisting with recovery after procedures, completing log books, entering data into computer, and labeling specimens.
When not assisting with endoscopy, you will assist with patient examinations. Therefore, the candidate should be proficient at taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
The medical assistant/endoscopy technician will oversee reprocessing, infection control, and equipment maintenance in strict accordance with industry standards and must have training and experience with doing so.
The candidate will perform upkeep for exam, endoscopy procedure, and reprocessing rooms.
Please only apply if you have the required endoscopy experience and training and are qualified to take vitals, EKGs, and do venipuncture.
The ideal candidate will be willing to help with front desk, pre-authorizations, referrals, and filing as needed.
Eagerness to help with all aspects of operating this busy medical practice a plus.
CPR certification (BCLS) required.
Position is either full time or part-time (two to four full days per week)
