Full-time lab technician needed. We are looking for someone thorough, accurate, and exacting as well as personable and comfortable working with patients in a professional and warm environment. Recent grads with BS and/ or Lab tech training school are welcome to apply but the experience is preferred.

Our laboratory is in Manhattan. You must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Specific Duties:

• Work in the Endocrinology Laboratory and provide support as instructed.
• Read and follow the Laboratory Standard Operation Procedure manual.
• Perform duties for equipment maintenance and catalog accurately.
• Order supplies and assists with inventory management.
• Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples.
• Prepare IVF paperwork and prep media.
• Data entry into EMR and database
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, assess morphology.
• Process semen for IVF (IUIs)
• Perform semen cryopreservation.
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily QC
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
