Accounting Manager - Full-time Salaried Position

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to play a key role on our growing team. You'll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and QuickBooks. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to this list:
Operations:
• Accounts Payable - Check vendor invoices, work with vendors to correct invoices or obtain credits, process in accounting system with appropriate backup, review for sales tax and accrue, when necessary, file with supporting backup, print check runs, process online payments, maintain accruals, check vendor statements to A/P detail.
• Accounts Receivable - Track the status of jobs through the production cycle, create customer billings (in the proper accounting period) from the information supplied by the account manager, compare billings with quotes to customers, review vendor invoices for additional items to bill, determine if sales tax should be billed, record billings in the accounting system, update billing reports, send invoices and statements to customers, send invoices with shipping information to bank, make deposits, post deposits, process credit card payments, make collection calls, emails, and letters documenting collection activities.
• Maintenance of the General Ledger - Process adjusting journal entries, and balance accounts to G/L.
• Fixed Assets - Tag assets, maintain listings and keep a file on each item.
• Credit - Maintain customer credit files, process and follow up on credit applications, run credit reports, and provide credit authorization to production for all jobs.
• Assist with the month-end closing , including such items as establishing cut-off, bank reconciliation, various accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Daily online review of banking activity and credit card status.
• Lead AP and AR specialist processing daily volume .
• Delivering bi-weekly AP recommendation s based on vendor payment terms and cash optimization.
• Ensuring timely billing and required follow-ups with vendors to ensure on-time payment and enforce cash optimization strategy.
• Supervise and review payroll to ensure accurate processing of payroll and payroll-related expenses.
Compliance:
•Sales Tax - process monthly sales tax returns for different states, maintain and collect customer exemption certificates.
•Collaborating with international advisors to ensure tax compliance on all international sales.
•Protect assets by establishing/enhancing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
•Collaborating with tax advisors and consultants to ensure timely processing and payment of all tax-related liabilities.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
•Prepare budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial plans.
•Deliver budget to actual analyses on the root cause and make recommendations on resolution.
•Interact and gather insights with operational teams to verify spending accuracy and identify monthly variances relative to the operating plan.
Qualifications
•Fluency and proficiency in written and verbal English and Spanish/bilingualism are desired but not mandatory.
•BA in Accounting or Business Administration with five years experience.
•Proficiency with MS Office, particularly EXCEL & Outlook.
•Experience with NetSuite.
