POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position falls within the broader scope of duties of a Service & Support Administrator which includes facilitating, coordinating, and monitoring services for children and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The focus of this role is to provide support to, and act as a liaison between all necessary departments to support individuals in community-integrated living, increased independence, and progress on their path to inclusion.
As an employee of the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Riverside), the job incumbent shall always comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support the dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the Board and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse beliefs, cultures, values and family structures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation or closely related field
· Two (2) years of experience in developmental disabilities or other related social service position
· Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain Service & Support Administration registration and/or certification from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities within the probationary period
· Must support the Person-Centered Philosophy
· Strong oral and written communication
· Competency in Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to abide by Riverside’s Code of Conduct
· Satisfactory criminal background and Abuser Registry checks
· Satisfactory pre-employment drug test
· Possess valid State of Ohio driver’s license
DUTIES:
· Provides oversight of and expertise in environmental accessibility adaptations, specialized medical equipment and supplies, assistive technology and remote support processes.
· Builds relationships with current service providers, vendors and contractors for environmental accessibility adaptations, specialized medical equipment and supplies, assistive technology and remote support services, and recruits new resources to build capacity.
· Organizes and tracks all environmental accessibility adaptations, specialized medical equipment and supplies, assistive technology, and remote support service referrals, correspondence, reports, invoices, funding requests, verification of waiver service documentation, and payments.
· Assists teams to troubleshoot concerns with MUI’s/UI’s, toileting, transfers, changing, dressing, personal care, lifting, employment, safety, mobility, discharge planning, or other needs and secures resources to assess and meet identified needs.
· Maintains knowledge of Medicaid Waivers, Community Capital Funds, Rental Assistance Program Funds, and Community Transition Funds and other funding sources as applicable and available.
· Coordinates training on environmental accessibility adaptations, specialized medical equipment and supplies, assistive technology, and remote support services.
· Monitors and coordinates regular maintenance of all ceiling track and lift systems.
· Coordinates any maintenance, repairs or upgrades needed to environmental accessibility adaptations, specialized medical equipment and supplies, assistive technology, and remote support services equipment.
· Maintains inventory of specialized medical equipment and supplies.
· Must meet requirements to provide targeted case management (TCM) services to or on behalf of a Medicaid eligible individual
· Performs other related duties as may be assigned
HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
SALARY: $21.52/hour or higher based on experience
FLSA: Non-Exempt from overtime
