Miami Country Day School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our team as an Upper School Humanities Teacher/GIEB Coordinator starting August 2024. JOB SUMMARY:
The Upper School Humanities Teacher/GIEB Coordinator will collaborate with a team to design and implement curriculum using the Understanding by Design framework. Responsibilities include teaching five sections of history, serving as an academic advisor, and actively engaging in the Humanities Department and Upper School community. Additionally, this role involves coordinating advocacy groups, attending divisional meetings to ensure continuity, participating in diversity, equity, and belonging programming, delivering instruction on DEB courses, facilitating GIEB micro-courses, and serving as an Upper School advisor.
