Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow relevant MTTM procedures and the MTTM Quality Policy
Adhere to all Safety Policies established by Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals, LLC.
Ability to lock & tag out equipment in assigned department.
Be the first line problem solver in terms of Safety, Quality, Production Flow, Tooling and Equipment
Perform team member tasks when team members are vacant. Must perform work to current standards including, but not limited to, program, set-up, operate and inspection
Ensure a safe working environment exists in the area. Verify safety duties are assigned and completed at the frequency required
The Team Lead will provide job instruction to all new associates that are assigned to their area
Help the team maintain 5S and preventative maintenance in the work area and update all visual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) boards at the required time intervals
Interface daily with managers to guarantee the production facility is meeting all demands
Assures workflow between stations and/or departments, providing parts, supplies and equipment as needed
Assists with establishing priorities, problem solving and setting goals
Evaluates systems and processes and makes recommendations regarding modifications
Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices are understood and compliance is present on each line
Also ensures all work instructions are understood and are being followed by the operators
Keep track of daily supplies and place supply orders when needed
Support the team members by responding to problems and solving or escalating them
Lead daily team meetings and problem-solving sessions
Train new and current employees
Audit the process, i.e. standard work, 5S and safety compliance
Understand and follow company policies
Communicate with supervision / management and other team leads on production, maintenance and employee needs / concern
Complete additional duties as assigned by MTTM management
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Previous leadership and manufacturing experience to include training and mentoring
Strong communications written and orally
Ability to work effectively and professionally with others and facilitate positive action
4-6 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Completion of the following education:
Advanced CMM Programming or equivalent
Advanced GD & T Fundamentals (gdandtbasics.com) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
NMIS certifications for machine technologies or equivalent education
Prefer Technical school education or associates in machining technologies.
Some post high school education
Physical Requirements:
Satisfy and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity and quality standards.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time, 90% of the time is spent standing.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Communicate effectively.
