Job Summary:
As the Liquor Store Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring a seamless and delightful shopping experience for our customers. You will lead and inspire a team of knowledgeable sales associates, promoting a customer-centric culture while driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Your passion for the liquor industry, strong leadership skills, and exceptional business acumen will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and develop a skilled and motivated sales team. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring team members are engaged and aligned with the store's goals.
Customer Experience: Ensure that every customer interaction is exceptional. Lead by example in delivering superior customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly, and building strong relationships to drive repeat business.
Sales Performance: Set ambitious sales targets and implement strategies to achieve and exceed them. Monitor sales metrics, analyze data, and develop action plans to improve performance and capitalize on business opportunities.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to ensure a diverse and well-stocked product selection that meets customer demands. Minimize product shrinkage and handle vendor relations effectively.
Visual Merchandising: Maintain an appealing store layout and engaging product displays that showcase the store's offerings and drive sales. Ensure product pricing and signage are accurate and consistent.
Compliance: Uphold all local, state, and federal regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages, including age verification, record-keeping, and licensing requirements.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or customer satisfaction.
Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute effective promotions, events, and loyalty programs that attract new customers and enhance customer retention.
Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and clean working environment for employees and customers, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences. Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance the store's performance and reputation.
