SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The role of Buyer will be responsible for purchasing goods and components, evaluating and investigating current and new materials and services; ensuring the continuity of supply to meet the operational needs at Mfused. They will utilize demand plans to evaluate inventory needs and determine hardware and packaging buys necessary to ensure operational success in all local markets. The Buyer will be expected to maintain day-to-day relationships with suppliers, problem-solve inventory and delivery issues, and assist in keeping track of the current inventory of materials. A successful candidate will have the ability to work a flexible schedule and enjoy a fast-paced, growing company, in an ever-changing industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but other duties may be assigned:

• Review demand forecasts to determine and launch purchases of raw materials, packaging, and hardware
• Build relationships with vendors while monitoring supplier performance and communicating to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of goods
• Executing purchases throughout the company; monitor orders and problem-solve all issues as needed to successfully inbound product
• Analyzing forecasts and staying up to date on pricing and industry trends
• Lead Supply Chain’s involvement with current and future ERP platforms
• Coordinating with local inventory teams, and management in monitoring the stock quality, tracking and escalating of any discrepancies during weekly OTBs (open to buys)
• Assisting in maintaining accurate procurement records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and on hand inventories
• Overseeing aspects of shipping arrangements and logistics by assisting in coordinating and monitoring transportation of goods via LTL & TL; verifying delivery schedules, tracking and resolving any errors or issues associated with shipments, and making special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Liaising with other corporate team members (Operations, Accounting, Finance, etc.) for interdepartmental success
• Deliver relevant reporting to management with any needed documentation (tracking of issues, closed purchase orders, etc.)
• Continuously suggesting improvements for a more accurate and efficient monitoring processes on open purchase orders
• Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Will be required to obtain certificates or licenses within 90 days of employment that are required to operate in existing markets. Additionally, will need to be able to obtain certificates and licenses in new markets as needed.
• A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
• CPM or APICS certification preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field is preferred
• 2 years of experience as a Buyer or in a similar role in Purchasing &/or Supply Chain
• Will be required to submit to a background check

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

• Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems such as Microsoft NAV
• Team player with strong organizational skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
• Possess advanced mathematical skills
