The role of Prefabrication Manager at MCL requires a dedicated individual who will champion the use of prefabrication/IC within the company. The job entails collaborating with both internal and external team members to conceptualize, promote, plan, and implement prefabrication processes and products. In addition to possessing technical skills, the ideal candidate must also exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders, including construction operations, preconstruction, VDC, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and owners.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across MCL's departments, including Preconstruction, VDC, Operations, Project Management, and Business Development, to identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Champion the value proposition of innovation and creativity to our external partners.
• Partner with internal teams to proactively identify key components of each project that could benefit from innovative solutions.
• Provide strong leadership for the team, ensuring that high-quality products are delivered efficiently and effectively, while adhering to MCL and industry safety and quality standards.
• Ensure that the prefabrication operation is technically accurate, cost-effective, and of the highest quality.
• Create a collaborative work environment that encourages accountability, growth, and pride.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• An acceptable combination of education and relatable experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in a commercial construction setting
• Strong knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards
• Proven experience in managing construction projects from planning through execution and delivery
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in the use of project management software and tools
• Strong desire to advance processes, applications, and technology
