Position Number 5071 Branch Community & Workforce Education Division Workforce Education Department Workforce Training Job Description
The Program Facilitator works with administrators and staff throughout the Community and Workforce Education department in support of Robotics-related training programs. This position is responsible for overseeing instruction in accordance with the educational objectives of the College’s non-credit certifications. The Program Facilitator develops course objectives and curriculum, trains, and observes part-time instructors and helps to manage assessment processes and outcomes reporting. This position also teaches classes related to non-credit profession initiatives to students enrolled in the Continuing Education and Workforce programs.
ESSENTIALPOSITIONFUNCTIONS:
1. Provides training on instruction necessary for the activation of the non-credit training programs, certifications, and supervision to part-time Instructors who are teaching certifications.
2. Provides career exploration and planning to students, helping to develop career plans and problem-solving in order to increase their ability to persist and successfully complete their goals.
3. Teaches certification courses to students enrolled in non-credit workforce training.
4. Oversees certification programs as they pertain to the implementation of non-credit focus areas in accordance with the educational objectives of the College.
5. Develops course objectives and curriculum based on program guidelines.
6. Administers National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) assessments within community organizations.
7. Helps manage the assessment process to determine students’ academic readiness.
8. Assesses students’ learning needs in order to design activities and lessons to help them reach their educational goals.
9. Trains and observes part-time instructors to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and helps to ensure instructors’ student records, monthly attendance records, and other information are accurate and timely,
10. Plans and assists with workshops, program orientations, team meetings, and pre-service activities and attends staff meetings.
11. Collaborates with other staff members to continually assess students’ progress, implement helpful interventions as necessary, and track overall outcomes.
12. Provides accurate and timely quantitative and qualitative data for grant reporting purposes.
13. Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of tutoring or teaching methods.
2. Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for adult learners and curriculum design for individuals and groups.
3. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong human relations and diplomacy skills.
8. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment.
9. Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations.
10. Ability to maintain accurate records and acute close attention to detail.
11. Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.

Required Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in education, career development or related field plus two (2) years of teaching, tutoring, career development, or related work experience.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with project management, program development, and/or training preferred.
Passion for reading and for students who want to improve their reading skills.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
