Position Overview

The Public Relations Intern is responsible for supporting and streamlining internal workflows on behalf of the Public Relations Manager Supports the development and implementation of outreach strategies related to MetroPlusHealth' s brand image and voice.

Interns will also participate in workshops, activities and other events organized by MetroPlusHealth

**You must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this program.

• Supports the PR function Team on all initiatives, and reports to the PR Manager.
• Maintain press lists for the team.
• Monitor coverage and create press summaries/recaps
• Help support execution of media and PR campaigns for MetroPlusHealth, related events and key company initiatives
• Assist in creation of media materials including press releases, media alerts, bios, etc.
• Liaise between the PR team and various internal teams as required, including event marketing, merchandising, creative, etc.
• Assist in PR for special events.
• Research and analyze industry related trends.

• Current student at a university or accredited college
• 1 year minimum with relative Healthcare, Public Relations experience
• 6 credits of coursework minimum completed in Healthcare Administration, Public Relations
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and familiarity with various writing styles
• High-level of professionalism
