Metronome is Hiring a Contracts Administrator Near Fairfax, VA

The Contracts Administrator will be a dynamic, precise, and organized individual with excellent work ethic and communication skills. In direct support of the Executive Director of Contracts, the individual will be responsible for contracts/subcontracts administration, tracking, managing, reviewing, and analyzing contract data, and preparing reports. This entry level position provides an excellent opportunity to enter the government contracting field and gain invaluable work experience.

  • Assist with proposals in support of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and as assigned/directed by the Executive Director, Contracts.
  • Assist with data calls.
  • Provide contract/subcontract administrative support.
  • Review and interpret contract/subcontract requirements.
  • Assist with preparing monthly project reports.
  • Assist with tracking contract financials.
  • Provide inputs in various contract department databases and trackers and review for accuracy.
  • Review invoices for contract compliance.
  • Ensure contract compliance in accordance with state and federal laws.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  • Draft contractual agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, etc.
  • Be adept in understanding contract terms, articulating those positions to the business, and ensuring the program teams are able to effectively understand the impacts of the agreements reached.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure the client deliverables and expectations are achieved.
  • Maintain contract files/contract repository.
  • Other duties associated with the Contracts Administrator position, as directed by the Executive Director of Contracts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business-Related field (Business, Finance, Accounting)
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Possess excellent written/oral communication skills and be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, contract administration, and contract closeout.
  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations.
  • Able to manage and administer multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with virtual teams.
  • Experience/knowledge with Smartsheet database
  • US Government Security clearance
