Metrocare Services is Hiring a Human Resources Assistant- On Site - Bilingual Preferred Near Dallas, TX

In addition to behavioral health care, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, services for veterans and their families, accessible pharmacies, housing, and supportive social services. Alongside clinical care, researchers and teachers from Metrocare’s Altshuler Center for Education & Research are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County while providing critical workforce to the state.

The HR Assistant is responsible for answering the main phone line and routing calls to the appropriate person/department. Also provides general administrative support to the human resources department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.

  • Answer main phone line for Metrocare Services. Serve as backup to the front desk, answering phones and routing calls, greeting guests, scheduling conferencing rooms, processing incoming and outgoing mail and answering general customer services related requests. Provide excellence customer service.
  • Provide verbal verifications of employment.
  • Complete background checks for potential new employees.
  • Generate and upload the LEIE (List of Excluded Individuals and Entities) report for the background check process.
  • Answer general questions regarding payroll system and assist with resetting passwords for employees.
  • Filing employee documents
  • Provide TB forms to employees upon request.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED. Education and/or training in secretarial work.
  • Previous experience working in a HR Department or Business Office preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to work with reports and numbers.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
  • Ability to successfully use an automated HRIS record keeping system.
