Metro Tech Consulting Services | Engineering is Hiring a Scheduler - Associate Project Manager I, II or III (Ref WO #528) Near New York, NY

Professional/Technical Title: Associate Project Manager I (Scheduler Level I)

Project Description: Provide temporary personnel for Scheduling Support Services for
MTA Construction & Development Stations Business Unit

Duration of Service Required: 2,080 hours.

Normal Work Week: Monday- Friday

No. of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 Hours (MTA Construction & Development does not pay for lunch hour)

Hours of Work: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours ½ hour unpaid lunch)

Administrative functions - 100%.
Office location - 100%
Right-of-Way work is not required.

Work Location: 2 Broadway New York, NY 10004 or various MTA field offices as needed.

MTA C&D Midpoint Annual Salary for this Title: $88,025

Qualifications Requirements:

Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited College in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration and/or combination of education, experience in Engineering & Construction: Signal/Systems/Communications, Civil/Structural, Architectural/Structural and Electrical/Mechanical with a strong background in scheduling in these disciplines.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of three years construction scheduling experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software including experience developing schedule delay analysis and schedule claim analysis.

Special Skills/Training Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the use of Oracle P6 Scheduling Software.
  • Knowledge of other software applications relevant to capital projects scheduling and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Significant mass transportation experience.
  • Experience in reading and comprehending contract drawings.
  • Skills in analyzing and presenting in-depth job progress.

Description of Work:

  • Responsible for performing scheduling functions on complex capital projects throughout the project life cycle in support of major MTA C&D Business Units areas assigned.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, utility, and timely implementation of all schedules. Coordinate resolution of schedule issues, perform delay analyses, and participate in the review and negotiation of time extension requests and claims.
  • Support the identification and realization of opportunities to achieve schedule efficiencies.
  • Participate in the process of maximizing track access opportunities, as well as determining duration and schedule occurrence.
  • Participate in project constructability and risk assessment review efforts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Oracle P6 scheduling software.
