Full time Nights Onsite with Paid Relocation

• The hours are 1830-0700 (3 12-hour shifts per week).
• 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized and award-winning healthcare organization, is actively seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their night shift team in Monroe, Michigan. This position requires the successful candidate to perform onsite duties with the potential for relocation assistance for the ideal candidate.

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Position Overview: Join a team that is committed to delivering high-quality laboratory services. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the analysis and interpretation of clinical data, ensuring the optimal functioning of laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Control and Assurance:
• Accurately maintain quality control records and take decisive action when results deviate from the norm.
• Technical and Analytical Processing:
• Conduct complex analytical procedures, process biological specimens, and identify solutions for collection and processing challenges.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Execute scheduled maintenance and promptly address any equipment malfunctions by following established protocols.
• Information Management:
• Manage data entry and system integrity within laboratory computer systems, enhancing software applications to improve specialty areas.
• Training and Competency Development:
• Guide new associates and students, evaluating the competencies of test performers in relation to their training and education.
• Continuous Professional Development:
• Engage in mandatory in-services and complete required continuing education units to maintain and advance professional skills.
• Leadership and Guidance:
• Provide leadership and make decisions regarding staffing and technical issues in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Administrative and Support Duties:
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support the laboratory's operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Certification: Eligibility for ASCP MLS or Categorical certification, with the expectation to achieve certification within one year of hire.
• Experience: Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program or equivalent experience as per regulatory standards.

Working Conditions:

• Must use personal protective equipment and handle exposure to hazardous materials.
• Requires physical activity including standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
