Position Summary 

This role is responsible for the day-to-day transactional accounting activity with full responsibility for accuracy of the general ledger, income statement, and balance sheet. This position serves to produce timely, accurate, detailed accounting records in compliance with US GAAP. Individual must have strong accounting skills, problem solving abilities, and an eagerness to learn. This position is required to maintain confidentiality on all sensitive information. Experience and accomplishments will be considered in lieu of education level.

Essential Functions Statement:

• General responsibility for management of the accounting and finance procedures of the company. 
• Manage, assign and review the work of the finance and accounting departments. 
• Manage the company’s end-to-end revenue cycle. 
• Express an eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and grow skill set in rapidly moving enterprise.
• Manage the monthly close process. 
• Analyze monthly results to ensure accuracy prior to submission. 
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations. 
• Monitor and report on monthly capital expenditures. 
• Verify that all sub-ledgers tie to the general ledger and resolve any differences. 
• Verify that intercompany transactions are properly recorded. 
• Support SVP of Treasury in cash forecasting and reporting.
• Assist the SVP of Finance and the BU partners in preparing the annual budget. 
• Develop implementation plans for process improvements and execute their implementation. 
• Take an ad hoc financial process improvements and execute their implementation.
• Communicate results to Senior Leadership on a monthly basis. 
• Responsible for all monthly financial reporting. 
• Duties require broad conceptual judgement, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role has supervisory responsibilities. 

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance Experience: 3-5 yearsCertificates and Licenses: 

• Valid Driver’s License 

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products  
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: 3-5 years experience with big four accounting firmCertificates and Licenses: CPA, or plan to sit for CPA
