Methodist Home For Children is Hiring a Licensing specialist Near Greenville, NC

Methodist Home for Children (MHC) is seeking a dedicated Foster Care Licensing Specialist to join our team in the Greenville, NC area.

At MHC, our primary goal is to help young people transition into permanent homes, whether through reuniting with birth families or finding loving adoptive families.

As a Foster Care Licensing Specialist, you will play a vital role in this mission by coordinating all activities related to licensing foster parents and facilitating their training programs.

Key Responsibilities :

Expertise in Licensing Laws : Demonstrate familiarity and competence in the licensing laws and policies for Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care as required by the State of NC and MHC.

Training Facilitation : Participate in training foster parents and track their progress as part of the licensure process.

Compliance Assurance : Develop processes to ensure assigned foster homes maintain licensure compliance with applicable standards.

Consultation and Support : Provide consultation services to assigned foster homes, offering guidance and support as needed.

Documentation and Reporting : Maintain professional documentation for foster home licensure, collecting and reporting data and statistical information.

Recruitment and Screening : Develop and implement recruitment and screening protocols for the Foster Care and Adoption Services Department.

Assist with Screening : Aid in screening potential foster parents to ensure the best fit for our children.

Additional Duties : Perform other duties as requested by supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the Foster Care Services Department.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of two (2) years POST-GRADUATE experience in program implementation, licensing of foster homes, and service delivery in human services;

experience working with child and family issues required.

Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
