We are seeking a PRN Call Center Scheduler for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? This is a PRN opportunity and will work as need to cover shifts within the call center. No overnight shifts or weekends are required but this role may be asked to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 8am to 7pm Monday thru Friday.
Seeking a PRN Call Center Scheduler who will be responsible for the accurate scheduling of surgical and other procedures in the various surgical and procedural areas.
What you will do in this role:
1. Coordinates the scheduling of procedures with physicians, physician offices, and anesthesiologists according to established scheduling guidelines.
2. Ensures that necessary equipment is available for all scheduled procedures.
3. Communicates additions, cancellations and special requests of schedule to all appropriate parties.
4. Collects patient demographic and insurance data at time of procedure scheduling.
5. Utilizes the computerized scheduling system and supports updates as available.
6. Serves as preceptor to new employees.
What qualifications you will need for this role:
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
1.Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Secretarial, computer and clerical skills acquired through formal education and training also preferred.
2.Experience: Six months experience in office functions acquired through hospital or medical office work preferred. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, including computer terminals.
