Meteor Sealing Systems is Hiring a Coatings Technician Near Dover, OH
- Develop new process parameters and implement new products and materials currently not in place.
- Support production with problem solving techniques and troubleshooting.
- Support maintenance when machinery problems occur.
- Optimize process parameters to reduce variation.
- Training of associates on the current and correct methods to produce a quality product.
- Monitor scrap levels, identify problematic areas, and establish correcting actions.
- Implement recommended preventative maintenance for new equipment.
- Develop and troubleshoot new equipment and coatings during initial start-up phase.
- Perform CAD design, project management, and process control as it applies to all surface coatings.
- Read blueprints and proficient with computer interfaces.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- A Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training will be considered in lieu of a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment is preferred.
- Familiarity of process flow as it relates to lean manufacturing.
- The ability to consistently meet deadlines is required.
- Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism while interacting with internal and external customers is required.
- Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills are required.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels is probable.
