Material Handler

Second Shift: Monday – Thursday (Friday is for mandatory OT when applicable)

Hours: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Compensation: $18- $22 DOE

The Material Handler is responsible for handling finished goods and work in process (WIP) with standing forklifts, pallet jacks, as well as by hand to safely transfer product to its correct location.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

• Practice smart operating techniques to ensure the safety of the entire team.
• Use Metalworks warehouse software to accurately log where product is located.
• Pick orders with standing forklifts, pallet jacks, and load trucks according to schedule.
• Hand sort and stack parts when necessary.
• Wrap and package product coming out of production departments.
• Unload inbound trucks and place in warehouse utilizing warehouse software.
• Fill out trailer logs to ensure accurate load information.
• Visually inspect parts that are picked for any rust or noticeable flaws.
• Pull non-conforming inventory and place in quarantine location with proper labeling.
• Record job progress data accurately (both handwritten as well as through Metalworks ERP software).
