What does a day-in-the-life look like?

  • Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve the plant goal of 0 accidents
  • Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety and area meetings
  • Champion timely resolution of all safety concerns and/or near misses
  • Work with maintenance to ensure equipment has proper PM and is safe to operate.
  • Enforce area and plant safety procedures.
  • Work closely with quality area to create and maintain systems that ensure quality products.
  • Support teammates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate potential quality concerns and maintain customer and TS requirements.
  • Enforce area and plant quality procedures and monitor and track quality activities for the production area.
  • Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the area to ensure line efficiency and customers’ needs are met.
  • Monitor standardized work is being followed.
  • Plan changeovers to minimize disruption of production.
  • Actively encourage participation in the idea program by effectively resolving and implementing teammates’ ideas
  • Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team.
  • Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet planned/plant objectives.
  • Conduct training for teammates
  • Gather information and auditing of daily reports.
  • Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.

What does success look like?

What you will bring: Academic & Experience

  • Two years of post-high school education preferred.
  • A combination of education and manufacturing experience required.
  • Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem-solving, or other applied leadership experience.
  • 2-4 years of leadership experience required.
